Othello is a wonderfully simple game, and, I must say, one of my favorites. Each piece is white on one side and black on the other. Each player uses one color. During each turn, you must trap (i.e. sandwich) your opponent's pieces in between two of your own. Then turn the trapped piece over, and it becomes yours. You can trap any number of pieces, just by sandwiching them between two of your own. Each player moves one piece during each turn. If you cannot trap a piece, then you forfeit that turn, and your opponent goes again. The person with the most pieces at the end of the game wins.
There are many versions of Mancala, but the basic play is to move your rocks clockwise, dropping one rock in each hole, until you run out of rocks. However, you get your opponent's rocks (and extra turns) if your last rock lands in your "pot" (the big hole). It's a counting strategy game. Click on the board to give it a shot.
This is a free racecar game--definitely worth downloading. You can design your own car, race through hundreds of different tracks, and race other players online. The controls are tricky at first, but most people master them within a week. Several people have told me that this game is "addicting," but I say it's just pretty fun.
