From the Day I Woke Up

                                          by Erythroxyline

From the day I woke up.
I never came down.
I’ve been trying to let it out.
But I’ve found no ground.
The ages fall, and brake like hours in the day
My mind sinks into that sacred place.

I see the colours, the shards and the rain
Every grain of sand; every white collared lace.
I feel so alive and yet falling from grace.
I retrace the day, like a picture book with no sound.
But hear the voices drowning like metro underground.

Murderous villains disguised as powder white.
Angels and demons orbit my so called state.
Everything I say sounds the same.
Everyone I’ve met has gone away.

I’ve been waiting to spread my porcelain wings
But they’ve been clipped along with my string.
As the balloon shaped heart floats into oblivion.
I taste the grace which had once fallen.
