He gently caressed her face
And looked into her eyes
Told her without a word
He forgave her of all her lies

The moment was intense
As tears streamed down his face
For him there was no other
Who would ever take her place

The love they shared was holy
Like no one's ever known
But because of her dishonesty
They both knew it was gone

Could they still be friends?
Only time would tell
They went their separate ways
Wishing eachother well

She looked back on that moment
When he caressed her face
And looked into her eyes
No one would ever take his place

They both walked on
Knowing they would meet again
On the other side of forgiveness
